Resolution #1: Kick that habit.

I'm proud and happy to say that for the first time in 10 years, I haven't smoked a cigarette in almost a week. It may not sound like that big of a deal but I don't remember the last time I went even one day without smoking. My number one resolution this year was to quit smoking (and about every year since I started) and I finally did it!

I wish I could say it was sheer willpower but that I don't possess much of. I have switched over to a "vaporizer". It's pretty much an electronic cigarette shaped like a pen and provides the nicotine by creating a vapor from a liquid solution. No more 400 additives, no more chemicals, no more unhealthy smoke in my body. Yes, there is nicotine but with this, I can immediately get the benefits of quitting smoking while still tapering down my "nicotine fix" by using lower levels of the nicotine solution.

I can already tell the difference when I go to the gym and do cardio. (resolution #2 - finally lose the last 20-30 lbs I've been trying to get off.)

It's a fraction of the cost of smoking (resolution #3 - get back out of debt).

And resolution #4 (well, it should be #1 but ended up as #4 in this post) is to work to consistently find my joy in Christ & love all others the best I can. The better I feel - the more I can do those things! It's nice to see how that all comes around full circle to help me make 2014 a stellar year.

It's a bit late but Happy New Year's ya'll! (<------ accent.="" br="" can="" quit="" southern="" t="" the="">
